Where to Park At Airports
Are you wondering how to get to your plane if you don't want to drive or where to park if you do? I fly regularly and there are a lot of questions that come up about the various shuttle services the different parking situations offered as well as other ways to get to and from the airport. In terms of getting to and from Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale Airport there is a very nice service called the shared ride service. In 2006 it's 15.00 and there are 3-4 other people in the shared van. This can make your drive a bit long if you are the last one or it can be short if you are the first. At Fort Lauderdale airport you just go outside the baggage claims area and give your name at the desk. I find this convenient and much less expensive than a cab which can be 65.00 for a 30 minute ride in that area. For those in the NYC area, there is a bus that runs from Penn Station and goes to either JFK Airport or LGA Airport and it's around 12.00. It is called the New York Airport Service and they run regularly also from Grand Central and Port Authority as well. They also have some trips that go to mid-town hotels. This is much less expensive than a cab.
In terms of Albany , New York there are different parking lots like in many airports but there
are also some hotels that will let you leave your car there and will shuttle you to their airport
so that's worth investigating as well if you are staying in a hotel anyway before or after your trip. You can also find rental car agencies that will let you leave your car at their center for a small fee.
